One, to show solidarity w/ humanity.  baptism is not only wash away sin but incorporates us into the body of Christ, we too should hear, "You are my beloved Son". Its a gift & task. Like Jesus who dedicated His life to God as a gift. When we are baptized we dedicate ourselves to God. What kind of gift ? What ...what we are is God's gift to us, what we become is our gift to God."
