UC SOME PEOPLE DO EVANGELISM IN THE WRONG WAY...& it RUBS PEOPLE IN THE WRONG WAY..I experienced it at the Luis Palau festival...they treat you as an "object" or a "target" ...I'm standing alone listening to Palau...& I sense a lady suddenly standing close to me...I sense she's "targeted" me for some reason..I try to avoid her glance..but she persists so I finally sigh & oblige her...& she says quietly, "We have a prayer tent...for any reason" & hands me a card..so I give her a fake smile & say thanks. I didn't feel true affection coming from her.
Then I'm still listening to Palau & a young girl comes up & waves in my face as I'm holding the camera up trying to catch a vid of Palau...I'm wondering what she's doing..she says, "HI"...& then she says "Bye" & turns & runs back to her group. Strange. Is that her way of doing evangelism. I know Jesus, thank u very much young lady. Being ALONE doesn't make me lonely. As I always, "With Jesus, even when you're Alone, you're NOT alone.."
I think some Christians have a false notion that having people around them all the time is "more Christian" ..but in some cases its a false sense of security. Ultimately, everything comes down to the 1:1 (1-to-1), just you & God, Father-Son-&-Spirit. That's a step some young Christians have not yet truly made...being ALONE w/ GOD...
