Re LAUSD RESTROOMS

FURTHERMORE, RE RESTROOMS IN SOME LAUSD PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Ironically, also at some schools I've been told by students that the administration locks the restrooms in some hallways or areas of the school and that students are forced to walk much further to a different restroom, and they are out of the classroom much longer in some cases, if, in fact, any restrooms are available at all.

I always doubted this when students told me, thinking they were making it up as an excuse to walk around longer;  but being in the classroom I could not verify for myself. Ironically on January 20, 2011 when I was at Belmont High I tried to find a restroom for myself during a conference period and discovered that my key did not open the men's faculty restroom & a regular teacher attempting to help me discovered that suddenly his key no longer worked either. Furthermore, the students "boys" restroom (which sometimes I resort to using), was, in fact, locked, and the regular teacher was only able to open the womens faculty restroom for me; fortunately, it was unoccupied.
