6/13/11 cblog R WE HOLDING ON TO MATERIAL THINGS that R KEEPING A VEIL BETWEEN US & GOD ? St. Dominic"..couldn't find my keys...to st. Dominic in san francisco ..would cost 1000's to re-key the whole church..prayed to st. Anthony ..promised $20 if find it..and found it..well ..more than good fortune st. Anthony..spiritual journey ..joined franciscans..about to send out to missions ..became ill ..instead sent to italy..work w friars..menial labor.tasks..studied scr & theol ..went to ordination of franciscans ..couldn't preach...ordain ..but nobody to preach? ..but they decided to ask st. Anthony..when he opened his mouth..they were amazed..holy spirit..all years of study..franciscans assigned him to teach theology..the franciscans weren't known for teaching ..anthony indeed heard this passage & followed it..carry no moneybag, ..sack..sandals..just Christ ..we r called too maybe not give up all but r we holding on to material things that r keeping a veil btw us & god..anthony lived to become as close to god as posible..we r called likewise to put god first..and inherit the kingdom.."
2 Cor 6:1-10 "Brothers and sisters: As your fellow workers, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.
