6/13/11 cblog HOW DO WE TURN the OTHER CHEEK ? am martyrs man bch 8a m: "When someone strikes right, turn to left as well ...when hit, our first reaction is to hit back...steal from us, steal back..human natural reaction ...eye 4 eye...the problem is that ur justification may not be correct..b/c this was for the courts to decide in ot times..personal retribution was forbidden by jewish law..in sermon on mt. Jesus challenges us to go beyond..if strike right, offer left..steal shirt, offer coat ..extra mile ..not always easy ..once doing stations of cross in israel..muslim insulted me..so I insulted muhammad back..it was wrong but it was my natural reaction ..hold selves to higher standard..key..to keep trying ..we r to do our best..to be generous kind to neighbors..holy spirit will move us farther and farther..spirit of true love & generosity..
2 Cor 6:1-10 "Brothers and sisters: As your fellow workers, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.
