THIS ANSWERS WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A STRANGE QUESTION BY A DODGER VISITOR LAST YEAR

I took the dodger stadium tour today (thanks to my friend for giving me the idea..hadn't thought about it in a while until ... mentioned wrigley field tour)...& our guide mentioned the colors of the seats...

...says that the original pattern was supposed to reflect the colors of nature with blue at top representing the blue sky..& yellow at bottom representing the sandy beaches...mentions that this was briefly changed when FOX owned the dodgers & they changed the color pattern but when McCourt became owner the original pattern was resumed..

It answers the question which a visitor from cleveland once asked me last year re the color of the seats. I NOW REALIZE he was testing me & must have taken the tour & already knew the answer.

He was with his wife (& their adult daughter who apparently lived in L.A. ) & I was right behind them in the reserve section. For some reason we said hello & he started asking me questions...first "Are you a big Dodger fan?" I said, "Not really..more of an angels fan.." He said "Who?" I said "Angels". He said "oh.." then he asked, "Has the color of the seats always been the same here?" I thought that was an odd question, & don't remember exactly what I said in return. I try not to answer questions I don't know the answer to, but may have said, "As far as I know..."

I just remember he turned back & glanced "knowingly" to his wife & adult daughter & that was the end of the conversation, altho I mentioned to him that I visited Cleveland Indians stadium earlier in the summer.

If he took the stadium tour & found out this interesting but obscure "factoid" WHY WAS HE ASKING ME ? Did he want o make me look like a person who PRETENDED to know things? I HAVE NO IDEA about a lot of the history of the dodgers & dodger stadium. SO WHAT ?
I should have asked him a specific detail about the new Indians stadium. Ha.

But that also explains why he seemed a little disappointed that I said I was "MORE of an ANGEL FAN." He wanted to prove I was a "STUPID DODGER FAN" who knew nothing about my "own team" or stadium. Sorry, charlie, Dodgers aren't my team, but I do go to games there periodically because I'm a BASEBALL FAN..sometimes I'm even rooting for the visiting team.
