SOMEBODY TELL FOCH PENSIS, CVUSD, THAT THERE R BLACKS & LATINOS (& ASIANS) IN IOWA ...this guy's the white superintendent for a latino school district in coachella valley & I remember a comment he made, quoted by a newspaper jn regards to the racial demographics of CVUSD, with a flippant reference to it 'not like Iowa" or something in that regard, with the connotation being that Iowa is ALL WHITE, lily white people, or all conservative white Christians, or all white people like the uptight type depicted at the PTA meeting in Field Of Dreams, etc.
Really, how racist of Foch Pensis to make such a suggestion, especially given the fact that Iowans fought for the north in the Civil War to set slaves free. Foch Pensis, himself, is originally from Nebraska. Does he think Nebraska is all white too ? All of them like the Ingalls family from Little House on the Prairie ? I suppose he thinks Mexico is "all brown" as well. Has he ever been to Mexico City?
C'mon Foch. You are the leader of an educational institution. You know better, or should know better. If you don't know better than you shouldn't be the superintendent of a school district. And assuming you do know better, why do you use these "false analogies" or "false comparisons" intended to evoke false images in the minds of people & solely to make yourself seem like "the friend of the colored people". Ha Ha, c'mon Foch. We weren't born yesterday, & you weren't born in Coachella, nor California, but Nebraska. What are you covering up? ALL of the USA is now a melting pot of people of different colors, no state is an exception. Don't mislead people to cause fear. Don't be a fear monger.
