11/09 c-blog THERE'S NO FEAR IF WE REALLY UNDERSTAND WHY JESUS CAME IN THE FIRST PLACE, , st. JBAP, M: "the end is coming..movie 2012,,,end is coming...ending..fear, anxiety...if see that movie..images...distressing...end of world great theme for movies...but also theological..spiritual..focus on what is essential..despite predictions...focus on preparation...why Jesus came in the first place..many have speculated...son of man will come on clouds...predictions of quakes, disaster...angels sent out togather elect...perhaps OT conception from Daniel...anxiety...need not be anxious...unrepentant sin will be punished..every good thought deed..will be rewarded...need to worry re growing in holiness....here& now...God is just..consequences to actions morally & spiritually..approach end with this simple understanding..then we are relieved...bc God gives us opp to live generously...how world would be so much better if we all lived wit this simple understanding..no need to focus o fear anxirty..augustine..no fear if really understand why Jesus came the first time...Jesus came to confirm & complete every prophesy & prediction...no fear, embraced by mercy of Jesus...go thru life with smile...cheerful confidence...let us not be swayed by images of doom...focus on Jesus..then not fear...bc great peace...share this message w each other..fear can be overcome...there will be no fear...will be forgiveness...yes also judgment..mmotivates us...what known is now..present moment...show love for God & neighbor.../
