11/18/09 c-blog, HOW TO MAKE LOYALTY TO GOD A TANGIBLE REALITY, i.e. "WE DID IT !" st. Dominic 6pm..."first reading about king...mother & son making great sacrifices...how thy follow thru on the orders of the king..reflectin on lloyalty...some friars enjoy sports...certain rivalries...somehng inside you as a fan...loyalty to team,,hang in there w/ them...even when they are losing...I suffered thru years of watching red sox lose..."we did it"..where does loyalty really lie,...? One kind of loyalty...another kind of loyalty to someone..think about loyalties to God..is there still yet another kind...want to follow God..not just "be Christian", but the reality of being with God,, like when you say "we won" in sports as a fan...same thing with God,,,freeing ourself...woman & children,,loyal to king...2nd reading, some loyal, some not, but Jesus walks away, leaving them to reflect on who is your king, what is your faith..
