7/19/10 c-blog, THE REAL SIGN IS JESUS' GOODNESS TO HIS FATHER, borromeo 12p, "If the good Lord walked in the door, would we believe Him ?..enough of a sign to know that there is a god....in OT, MANY REFERENCES to all kinds of favors from God..taken out of egypt, slavery, given freedom, given land of your own, yet many of you turned away from God..said what more can God do 4 u..yes we look for signs..Jesus tells the pharisees..what kind of a sign..in a sense..is the proper experience for us..he says u look for a sign...but the real sign is GOD's goodness to His father..he was saying..yes I my miracles & healing give comfort but that's not the real sign..my testimony & witness to my father is. It..the physical sign of our faith is Christ's death..the invsible sign is the resurrection, blessed is he who does not see but yet believes..he was looking for a special experience..that God would walk into my life in a special way..its a quiet answer..often times God says yes, other times no, recognize that our faith means we do God's will..you come to mass the greatest prayer of all..we offer visible signs..Christ changes these visible signs into His body & blood..it is God's presence here..that's our faith..God bless you"
Micah 6:1-4, 6-8 Hear what the LORD says Arise, present your plea before the mountains, and let the hills hear your voice! Matt 12:28-32 Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus,"Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you." He said to them in reply,"An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here. At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon and there is something greater than Solomon here."
