11/12/10 cblog BEWARE of SPIRITUAL VULTURES, INCLUDING SPIRITUAL PRIDE; Monastery 'Not the most cheerful..but in tune w/ the end of the liturgical year...so readings will focus on end..but the last day is celeb of Christ the King...good will win..but here I think of twin towers..so ghastly..but let us focus On good ...that god is w/ us & longs to save us..I think of sea otter ..when I lived on the aleutian islands..forced myself to go outside...despite 20 degrees below zero or 100mph wind..I would see sea otters..so cute..float on backs..go down get clam..lay on back..so cute..float..but then every now & then a shark will come & grab one...so there's danger..vultures gathered..vultures ufly..only eat dead things..diff btw bird of prey & vulture..vulture only eats what has already died..I've watched bear hunt for fish..don't want to get close to them..like kids playing..but bear won't touch dead fish..I thought there are spiritual vultures...7 cannibal (?) or carnal (?) [Sounded like he said cannibal but must have said carnal] sins..greed lust envy..add pornography [2nd time he's mentioned pornography] ..devouring people..& then there's spiritual pride..find myself falling in that..maybe I think I'm good b/c I pray..they think I'm good...become like a pharisee..so its dangerous for us who take our religion seriously..remember when come here its to be w/ Jesus ..I've studied stages of prayer..jst be w/ Jesus..try to not get distracted or discouraged..jst enjoy His goodness & be transformed..." 2 Jn 4-9 "Chosen Lady: I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth just as we were commanded by the Father.
