11/24/10 cblog GOD GIVES US BEAUTY TO APPRECIATE; PRAYER HELPS monastery of angels m: "...recently we Martyrs of philippines, mexico,,,now vietnam..the love & strength required to do that..couldn't do it without deep faith..if we love somebody..need to see beauty..made to enjoy beauty..glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, ..we hunger for beauty, it touches our hearts ...listened to glenn miller ..later. ..classical..beauty of the music..same w/ art.. true also of love..see something of beauty in a person, not just external cuteness, but hopefully something inside...brilliant scholars..th. aquinas..its a gift..beauty of god..doesn't just happen..sb had to make it happen..god, person of beauty..from whom flows our existence..prayer..become aware..of beauty..of how much god loves us..how did I see god today..century ago (?) I was a novice master..by coast.other .guys wouldn't get out of car ..couldn't appreciate...discover beauty in another person..see goodness despite faults ..always wondered why older people r grouchy..now that I'm old man I can tell u b/c patience takes energy..older people have less energy,..cross..beauty of love..don't just die for faith, but live for faith ...open eyes of heart, discover ..
