11/27/10 LA TIMES SPOTLIGHTS BOBBY SCHULLER OVER GRANDPA SCHULLER & CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL...so suddenly LA TIMES starts showing interest in the crystal cathedral & the schullers ...now that there is some turbulence ...& they highlight bobby schuller, the grandson, who has started his own church at a rented american legion building ...one thing I notice about the media portrayals of churches & now the crystal cathedral is their misunderstanding of "church"...which is MORE than a building or a single congregation..really the church is the entire Body of Christ worldwide, & actually includes both the living & the dead (those who have moved onward are very much, & all the more so, a part of the body of Christ as well) ...thus, the media attempts to make a competitive agenda between churches, between bobby & his grandfather or mother (I think he is sheila's daughter, isn't he?), but it's NOT either-or, but both-and ...the crystal cathedral will eventually emerge from bankruptcy..its NOT the end of the road ..& bobby's church will eventually buy land & build their own church building...10 years from now the body of Christ will be stronger than ever..both the crystal cathedral & bobby's church, & the kingdom of God around the world ...to read LA TIMES SEE http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-schuller-family-20101127,0,4079384.story?page=1&utm_medium=feed&track=rss&utm_campaign=Feed%3A%20latimes%2Fnews%2Flocal%20%28L.A.%20Times%20-%20California%20%7C%20Local%20News%29&utm_source=feedburner
