The INFAMOUS INTERSECTION WHERE I GOT BEAT UP BY PASADENA POLICE ON FEBRAURY 3, 2000
Lake & Villa  ...I had been teaching that day in SF VALLEY...came back to pasadena for two classes at the seminary..one late afternoon with a break before the 2nd in the evening..during the break I drove up lake ave with lola my golden retriever...looking for a place to eat...I saw a green light at lake & villa when suddenly evangelina bustamante entered my path eastbound..I hit the brakes..skid..& our bumpers touched...I got out ..she started saying something..but suddenly 2 cops came up, tom brown & tim mosman,...tom said "we didn't see it but we heard it..what happened..." I started saying what I saw & he interrupted me..it became immediately apparent he wanted to blame me..despite the fact that later bustamante admitted she entered late...for a moment I stared t brown in confusion..wondering why he was blaming me..not to mention the fact that its not their job to designate blame..& for a moment I turned back to my car to get my information..he said something..I turned back, & suddenly he hit me with his baton..unbelievable..I've never hit nor been hit by a cop..& suddenly they were All over me..I was pushed, shoved, knocked down..handcuffed..brought to the police station..immediately released..my dog was at the humane society..my car in a lot somewhere..had to wait until the next day to get lola & my car...they never aplogized..I started ging to doctors..was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy..among other things..LATER I SUED...that's where Hugh Halford comes into the picture..horror story #2...can't tell it all here.....thanks Pasadena police...thanks tim mosman..thanks tom brown...thanks hugh halford...
