Basil 730a m" "a friend..born catholic married to a lady who went to calvary chapel..he sent a note to me saying I don't know if I like a church who doesn't ack mother mary..the prots think mary is an obstacle to Jesus..ignoring the 1000's of years of theology..there's no doubt she became an instrument to salvation, but we are not redeemed in the blood of mary..just Jesus..also nowhere does it say mary was assumed..but we've accepted it as a dogma..pope pius 12 proclaimed it ..pius 9 proclaimed immac conception..pope pius 12 proclaimed the assumption....one of most perfect portrayals..not pics..not glorified hollywood..in the last passion of Christ..maybe uve seen it..as Jesus is struggling towards the cross.....mary was there..still your mother..not saved by mary but she was instrumental in lifting up..embracing she was an intercessor..we don't pray to mary..we ask mary to pray for us..such as you may ask "father will u pray 4 me'..intercessory prayer..protestants do it too..but won't ask if person isn't sitting there..we do not worship mary..nor the saints...."
