DISCREPANCY @ the SUB UNIT re SUBFINDER, LAUSD

12/2/10 Re DISCREPANCY w/ the SUB FINDER at the SUB UNIT, LAUSD

Actually, I realize now that the paper Regina Echols showed to me ( which showed the number of English vacancies & order of subs called according to seniority) PROVES MY POINT that there WAS a discrepancy with the subfinder on 12/2/10 .

They (Regina & Marjorie who came in later at my request, although I would have preferred to speak with her privately) made a big fuss in a maternalistic manner about why I declined ONE ASSIGNMENT that particular morning (to Bernstein HS, to which I will not return b/c of a secretary) but failed to explain why I didn't get offered two more options.

The subfinder allows a substitute to decline up to three assignments before not calling anymore that day. If you decline an assignment, you are asked, by the automated system, why you declined it ?

You have three choices: 1) illness, 2) personal neccessity, or 3) prefer another assignment. In this case, as usual, I pushed #3 for "prefer another assignment" and expected two more calls from the subfinder with other assignment options (or one more call if I accepted the 2nd choice).  However, the subfinder did NOT call again, yet on the paper showed to me by Regina Echols, there were clearly 10 or 15 more English assignments offered & accepted by other substitutes after my one offer.
