READING the KORAN ALOUD is a GIGANTIC GESTURE OF GOOD WILL to the MUSLIM COMMUNITY:
Anybody can listen to it for free ...I think its clear I'm NOT promoting the KORAN as the "inspired" Word of God as is the Bible, but promoting that IF WE ARE GOING TO BE EVANGELISTS to Muslims & ask them to read our Bible, we have to be at least willing to read their Koran as well. This is GIGANTIC GESTURE of good will & love towards the Muslim community !

I remember being at the Rose Parade bandfest in Pasadena, shortly before the New Years Day Parade, & a band from Japan, of their own free will, played "God Bless America" & the effect it had on me as an American. Likewise, when we take time to truly care enough about another religion to read their book, it means a lot. Read it, don't burn it !

2/8/11 DON'T BURN IT, READ IT: HOW CAN WE ASK MUSLIMS TO READ OUR BIBLE if we WON'T READ THEIR KORAN ? SO I DID ! I Took the time (literally MONTHS, ending February 5-6, 2011) to read ALL 114 chapters (or "surah") of the KORAN (from longest to shortest). Reading it doesn't mean you believe it in the same way you believe your Bible as a Christian, but it increases your awareness of what Muslims hold to be "sacred" & "true", & may debunk some myths you have in your mind & may make you a better evangelist to our Muslim brothers & sisters.

Listen to me read the Koran Aloud as a Christian at http://koranreadaloudbyachristian.posterous.com/koran-114

As a Christian, of course, I value the Holy Bible above all other books. The Old & New Testament, by the way,  is much longer than the Koran & took me over a year to read it aloud at

I have also done an Audio Bible of the New Testament in Spanish, Tagalog, & Dutch (in progress) (also on posterous & available on CD)
