*5/17/11 Talking to Mr. KIM RE DANIEL @ ARCO, (he hung up on me at the end) 2380 LOMITA AVE, LOMITA CA 90717. This is where, on 5/13/11 at 604pm (pst) I pulled in, pre-paid $25 for pump #7 with my debit card, pumped gas & was leaving when suddenly Daniel, a 42-year-old employee came running out & said "Dude, did u pay for your gas?" How else can I pump ?! He said some lady claimed that she had put money in my pump...but the lady was WRONG...she was confused..and he came out yelling at me, presuming GUILT, & disrespecting me, calling me "dude."
This is when I use "Speaking to heathens in language they understand" and called him a few choice words (they don't know any other language & so "You're damned if you do, damned if you don't" because they don't respect a gentleman, nor do they respect you if you cuss at them, so I choose to speak to heathens in language they understand even if it "proves their point".
He ran back inside to be by the cash registers & I decided to go back in & get my receipt given the situation. I went back in & told him NOT to call me dude, but sir, so he apologized perfunctorily & called me "sir" once, but without sincerity. He was a white punk, probably a Lomita local (beware of Lomita white boys). Later, as I was leaving he switched to "man" (also a term of disrespect in southern Cal).
Today, 5/17/11 I called and complained to Mr. Kim, who Daniel said was his supervisor. But when Mr. Kim answered he was evasive at first, and wouldn't admit to being the supervisor. After a little Q & A he acknowledged he was the owner, which means he can hire & fire, which means he's Daniel's supervisor. So Daniel is another dropout clerk who is "aggressively" doing his job, suddenly very concerned about making sure all the "i's" are dotted. Funny how dropouts later in life become so concerned about being "good", ha ha, but having dropped out, failed to learn the higher meaning of "good."
So Mr. Kim continues to defend Daniel in his broken rambling English. He did, at least, admit that Daniel shouldn't be disrespectfully calling people "dude." At least he did admit this, but he went rambling on with other stories (an evasive tactic) and finally became "superior" and said "I got other things to do..." and hung up.
I called back and this time Daniel answered and I spoke to Daniel in language understood by heathens. Its the only way in such a case. And then I hung up. I still wanted to finish the conversation with Mr. Kim, but he didn't answer (chicken I guess).
Anyways, I have the RECEIPT and they owe me a WRITTEN APOLOGY.
