FUNNY THAT HUGH HALFORD, COP-TURNED-ATTORNEY, should CALL ANYBODY, BUT HIMSELF, "SELF-RIGHTEOUS"

FUNNY THAT HUGH HALFORD, COP-TURNED-ATTORNEY, should CALL ANYBODY, BUT HIMSELF, "SELF-RIGHTEOUS" ...This guy was and probably still is the epitome of self-righteousness . Not only was self-righteousness part of his character but he worked in the two professions that probably have the greatest tendency to breed self-righteousness even if u don't start out that way. I respect the good cops and lawyers out there but frankly there's TOO FEW of them. The nature of the business seems to have an effect opposite of what u would hope for in terms of spiritual growth. It produces legalism and consequently burnout, all under the umbrella of self-righteousness.

Take the average cop..dropped out of college after two years..and now they're given a gun, badge, car, power...power to write tickets..to tell people they're being "bad" (do they ever tell somebody they're being "good"? ) . Halford is an exception in that he worked in law enforcement after getting a bachelors degree.

Yet it was clear that the law profession had corrupted him ...and later he apparently went back to law school, which didn't make him a better person, unfortunately, only more equipped to do damage to those not in or of "the law."  And he had allegiances to the police that biased him against any and all claims against the police.

I say "TAKE THE LOG OUT OF YOUR OWN EYE, FIRST. HUGH."
