..I'm american...dutch-American..grew up in a little dutch community in west michigan ..lot of dutch names..many prefixed with van or vander or "de-" ...my name, kok, as well being dutch but without the famous dutch prefixes..that's why I added vander to my name, so people would recognize my dutch heritage... and here's a name that has both "van" & "de-" plus "hans" and some other dutchness such as "boven" which is a dutch last name all by itself (I had a classmate by the name of brian boven) ..and "kamp" ..(there's a van kamp food business in southern cal, & I had a football coach by the name of van der kamp; here boven & kamp are joined, ha ha...maybe I should add "de-" to my name "vander de Kok" ? ...that's another dutch name, dekok,
