7/10/11 HOW EVERY MOVE U MAKE IS PERCEIVED OR MISPERCEIVED:

*HOW EVERY MOVE U MAKE IS PERCEIVED OR MISPERCEIVED:
...so I started out the day at st. Polycarp in Stanton, CA d...730am mass ...arrived 10 min early..had an aisle seat ...still with the sniffles & coughing..some kind of respiratory infection...a few moments later a tall african-american man sits down in front of me...I immediately smelled an odor of tobacco & something else..& despite it may seeming "rude" to move..I had enough trouble breathing...so I made the move back a few seats..just randomly sat down behind a single Asian woman...didn't think anything about her or being behind her...

...but she apparently observed my "sudden change of seats" and apparently wondered why ..a few moments later I noticed when we stood up that she looked down at her purse which was directly in front of me ..she reached down & pulled it a little closer to herself...

..aha, she was suspicious of me..maybe thought I moved intentionally to be behind her...I couldn't whisper to her that I moved because the guy in front of me "STUNK !"

....So for the next few minutes rather than simply put the purse on the floor in front of her she kept making furtive glances...at her purse ..making ME uncomfortable...at a certain point u realize she is not so concerned about her purse as she is trying to marginalize ...(ie theatrics)...

...then, it turns out the black guy who was in front of me helps collect offerings ..(I've been to this church many times, but less often on Sunday morn, more often at weekday mass)...but if they haven't seen you until now that means you are "new" to them..

...at the moment we r told to say "peace" to eachother, the black guy turns around & stares at me ..letting me know he is aware of me ..I give him the "thumbs up" ....he doesn't reciprocate..just stares, not unfriendly, but not smiling either..

..a few moments later the lady in front of me leaves early, then another, & I'm still coughing so I decide to leave early too...
