in the Catholic church the actual body of Christ (represented by the "host" I.e. the circular piece of bread) is placed on the altar for believers to sit quietly & contemplate & adore ..the Catholic church believes this BECOMES the ACTUAL BODY of Christ, not symbolic, when it is properly consecrated ...I BELIEVE IT TOO ...WITH all my heart, mind, & soul
