WHY WON'T L.A. PULL THE PLUG ON RED-LIGHT CAMERAS?

Doug mcintyre from the daily news uncovers a story about red light cameras in los angeles... the police commission voted unanimously to pull them at 32 intersections...saying they were ineffective, and "some studies say....the cameras  may actually increase accidents at some intersections' ...also, wendy gruel says the cameras cost the city $1 million per year, no profit ...mcintyre says "Zero safety improvement, money loser, no brainer. But this is Los Angeles..." ha ha...ain't that the truth. What's up ? McIntyre says that Bernard Parks, Jan Perry, Jose Huizar, Herb Wesson, & Tom Labonge, as well as Alarcon are all hesistant to call it quits with the cameras. Meanwhile, Dennis Zine, Paul Krekorian, & Bill Rosendahl are sensibly saying PULL THE PLUG ! What are they waiting for ? McIntrye wonders if there may be some secondary agenda ...what do you think ?
