A POTENTIAL for HISTORIC CATHOLIC-PROTESTANT UNITY BEGINNING at the CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL ?
The Diocese of Orange has expressed interest in possible purchase of the Crystal Cathedral, and I think this would be the BEST way to go, if it works out, not just for the sake of settling financial debt, but for the potential unification of the Protestant & Catholic church.
I'm sure the two would still maintain their independent ways to a certain extent, but it also would entail conversation, dialogue, & compromise between the Crystal Cathedral (representing Protestantism & the Reformed Church specifically) and the Orange Diocese (representing Catholicism)...
This has been a DREAM of mine for quite some time… to see the two come together.. I still believe the Protestant Reformation should have kept the reformation WITHIN the Catholic church rather than independent.
Perhaps this will be an UNEXPECTED merger out of what seems like a bad thing (the debt crisis of the Crystal Cathedral).
Talk about the power of POSITIVE THINKING ! For quite some time now I've attended both Protestant AND Catholic churches and described myself as "protatholic" and have written about how important it is for the Protestant church & Catholic church to be re-united, with integrity, to truly represent the Body of Christ.
Lord I pray that this may be the beginning, right here in Orange County, with the Crystal Cathedral leading the way, in a new way, turning its SCARS into STARS, once again ! SEE
