Polycarp, stanton ca, 730a m: "most often jesus is caring compassionate..but in this passage..he seems less caring, even insulting ..lessons to be learned..model of faith..she pleaded ..refused x3 before she was given what she wanted..abraham father of many nations...god tested him too..promised many children, .then told him to sacrifice isaac..thru history of ch..so many w faith..last week I mentioned job..trials didn't lose faith ..mother theresa didn't feel presence of god but kept faith in god..she had darkness of soul..in trials..god is there..model of faith..believe in god when testing us..good sign.god tests those he loves....if u say u love god, be ready to be tested..also lesson of persistency..jesus was praising and testing her..also lesson of humility ..evn when jesus compared her to dog ..even dogs deserve scraps from masters table ..when pray, 4 intentions...adoration, thanksgiving, reconciliation w god.ask 4 forgiveness, petition..[ go to audio for remainder] ."

He said in reply"It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs." She said, "Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters." Then Jesus said to her in reply"O woman, great is your faith Let it be done for you as you wish." And the woman's daughter was healed from that hour."
