9/4/11 brady boyd, pastor @ new life, colo springs, gives message @ crystal cathedral: "...gunman killed 2 of our teens ..killed self..only 100 days after the scandal of the lead pastor ripped apart our church..thought "this is the end"..but the holy spirit said thru me "we will not be governed by fear"..holy tenacity ..we r people of christ..sharing not philosophy,,, truth ..shooting 4 yrs ago..we've baptized 1200 new..planted 4 churches, ,miracle story ..2 reasons.were not afriaid b/c he is here..sounds elemntary..read tgether 23rd..."will fear no evil"...b.c god is with us ..comes w/ attitude.."rod and staff comfort me" ..god is among us..to protect defend..freshman..played baseball..east texas..redneck ..got promoted to varsity..125 pounds..as a freshman on varsity..some seniors didn't like it ..they grabbed me..rope around neck..hazing..but almost killed me ..big gas on neck ..didn't want dad to see...id ever been target of bullyying..didn't ant others to know, brother saw it..dad came..told him..was embarrassed to tell..my dad said "you're not going to school tomorrow..I'm going 4 u" don't know what he said..just know coachees super nice, boys never messed w me again..god thru act of my dad deposited courage in me ..will fear no evil ..my dad defended me ..2nd reason, we r not afraid b/c we can hear ...looking @ disciples, preparing them for his absence, hhis departure..prparing them ..my sheep listen to my voice ...echoing the words. ...no one can snatch..as a kid went to louisiana state fair..I'm in 1st grade..mom dad said "stay close, don't wander off" ..but I did wander off ..can't see mom dad ..grew up bird dogs ..had chip on tooth..[ did have all his teeth, contrary to pop opinion re southerners] helped him whistle ..turned saw dad..he knew I was terrified..taught me a lesson ..listn to the voice of god..lean in listen..we r his sheep...god is w us..near us, can hear his voice , pray: simple word, message, those of u gripped by fear, father thankful u r near us.."
