I was watching the score on my phone while attending the pro volleyball championship @ Hermosa Beach..it looked like the Angels had it wrapped up ...boy was I SURPRISED when I got the final alert on my phone & it indicated the A's had won ;( Wow ! I couldn't believe it. I had to read the story first. Now I see what happened, but still can't believe it. If that doesn't seem to say there is divine intervention preventing the Angels from making the playoffs, I don't what would. Technically, the Angels are not mathematically eliminated, but it would take ALL THE STARS to ALIGN in an odds-defying way, including Angels beating Rangers 3 straight, among other things. Its been a decent season from a fan perspective, but still too many games that Angels could have & should have won if not for what seemed like "little things" they could have prevented.
