..I was a raiders fan around the time of kenny "the snake" stabler, bilitnikof, casper, tatum, et al ...& esp during their L.A tears, but gradually lost affection for them, especially after actually attending a Raiders game (for the first time) last year in Oakland..some very "ugly" (& I don't mean physically) fans ..raiders became too much associated w/ gangsta wannabe behavior (like the dodgers now) ..& I wish Al Davis would have tried to change that ...but I think, in fact, they, & he? enjoyed the snarling "bad boy" act with all the black colors, pirate eye patch, etc ..which is too bad b/c it took away from the game..a good game..I met kenny stabler once at a bar/restaurant he owned in Alabama ...we just happened upon it as a family on vacation near Gulf Shores in the 70's ...he gave me an autograph ..nice guy ..never met Al Davis ..But God be with him ...
