PRO-LIFE MISSION INTERNATIONAL

http://prolifecalifornia.webs.com/

Pro-Life California is now . . . Pro-Life Mission: International!     find us at : www.prolifemissioninternational.webs.com

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It has now been more than three weeks since the end of our most recent 40 Days for Life - Los Angeles campaign.  During that time, the leadership team of Pro-Life California has been working steadfastly to bring to life our vision of a newer, bolder, and ultimately more effective pro-life movement in Los Angeles and beyond.  Together with our new vision, we have a new name and a renewed need for your help.

We shall henceforth be known as Pro-Life Mission: International

Our mission is to take action on the front-lines of the abortion battle, emphasizing the role of local churches, daily direct-action, and a personal call to follow Christ in creating a world-wide Culture of Life.

To have an impact, however, we implore you to answer that personal call to follow Christ. Will you join with us, your local church, or another existing pro-life organization, to fight daily for the single greatest cause of our age?

Our new organization will focus on three main efforts:

1.  The heart and soul of our effort will remain on the front-lines of the abortion battle – at the abortion centers themselves – in prayer, sidewalk counseling and public awareness.   We aim through our prayers and presence to save many lives, to evangelize the abortion center staff and patrons, and ultimately to close abortion centers.  And, of course, our mission, while international, will focus on the abortion capital of California, the city of Los Angeles.  This division will be known as Pro-Life Mission: Los Angeles and will be led by its director, Karla Rios.

2. We believe strongly that as Christians we need to move this post-Christian culture back to a Culture of Life and as such, we must utilize the latest in technology while promoting the beauty of life through the arts and media.  This is our Strategic Arts & Media Division led by its Director, Javier Sandoval.

3.  We believe as well that our mission and our message is so vital, that it is so fundamental to the Gospel of Christ, that we are preparing to take that message and that mission to the “uttermost parts of the earth.”  As such, we are organizing a nation-wide and even world-wide outreach.  No matter where you are in the nation, or in the world, you can be a part of this effort.  This is the focus of our International Headquarters led by its Director, Adriana Lopez.  Adriana will be leading our first international outreach as part of World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain in August.

Whether you are in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Paris or Rio de Janeiro, we want to partner with our brothers and sisters in Christ in this faith work which has the potential to transform ourselves, our nation and even the world!

Always in Christ,

Dr. Michael Ross

Executive Director, Pro-Life Mission: International

"40 Days for Life" in Los Angeles:  March 9th - April 17th!

Los Angeles, CA - February 11th, 2011.   Dr Michael Ross, Executive Director of Pro-Life California announced today that Pro-Life California would be coordinating "40 Days for Life"  in Los Angeles.  "Los Angeles is the abortion capital of California - maybe even the United States, " Ross said.  "It is essential that the spiritual forces which inspire child-killing, and which are nurtured by it, be confronted, fought and defeated where we find them.  We know it will be no easy task, but we are convinced that if we win in L.A., we can win everywhere!"  The centerpiece of the "40 Days for Life" campaign will be a round-the-clock, twelve hour per day, vigil of prayer at the steps of one of L.A.'s most notorious abortion centers, the so-called "Her Medical Clinic" located at 2502 S. Figueroa St in Los Angeles.  Christians are encouraged to fast and pray throughout the entire event, taking place between March 9th and April 17th, and to pray at least one hour each week at Her Medical.   They can commit to pray either by emailing prolifecalifornia@yahoo.com or by enrolling directly on the "Vigil Schedule" found at the top of the page of the 40 Days for Life website at http://www.40daysforlife.com/la/ .  40 Days for Life - Los Angeles will also feature three rallies the first of which will be held Friday night, March 11th at 7pm at the Parish Center of Immaculate Conception Church in Los Angeles

Roe v. Wade Memorial - "Pray for Dear Life - Los Angeles"

Los Angeles, CA - January 22nd, 2011 - While thousands marched in the streets of San Francisco on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Christians in Los Angeles held their own memorial.  About sixty of us prayed and sidewalk-counseled outside of Her "Medical" Clinic, an abortion center that is especially infamous for its location directly across the street from a church, namely, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.  We also took part in a beautiful procession in the surrounding community, led by an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  We do not know to what extent hearts were touched by our prayers or our presence, but we do know that today God was glorified in Los Angeles because Christians took a stand - peacefully and prayerfully - to tell the city and our Lord - that we are no longer content to ignore child-killing in our midst.  Please check out our "STAFF" page for contact information guiding you to local pro-lifers or send an email to me, Dr. Michael Ross, at drmichaelross1@netzero.com .  Even if we do not have a presence in your area, we will come to where you are to help you to form your own local group.  Blessings!

Miracle in Downey - 3 Babies Saved Each Week in New Effort!

Downey, CA - December 4th, 2010 - Pro-Life California made our debut effort at the Downey, Family Planning Associates abortion center, only two weeks ago - and during each of these weeks at least three babies and their mothers were saved from abortion.  We cannot explain what is obviously miraculous - honestly - even we at PLC are unaccustomed to so many saves in such a brief time.  All we can say is, "Praise God" and "Please Help us!"  Our pleas for help are obviously directed to those Christians who have not yet entered the fight, or having entered, have not yet dedicated their lives to this great cause.  Of course, we can use help in any of our current target locations in Los Angeles, Orange or San Bernardino counties but we are also looking to begin new efforts near you!   Please check out our staff page and contact your nearest coordinator or contact our director, Dr. Michael Ross, directly at drmichaelross1@netzero.com

"Thanks for Giving Life Dinner" - The Founding of Guadalupe Pregnancy Services

Rosemead, CA - December 1st - 2010 - When Pro-Life California  was founded almost a year ago, one of the organization's key goals was to channel more funds towards the creation of pro-life pregnancy centers.  There was no question, then, that we would support the efforts of Guadalupe Pregnancy Services as they move towards a timely Grand Opening in the Rosemead area.  Indeed, GPS will open their doors not more than 100 yards from the infamous Family Planning Associates abortion center in Rosemead which kills babies, even on Sundays!  Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Pro-Life California's own Dr. Michael Ross while the keynote address was given by real-life pro-life hero, Sister Paula Vandegaer.   Offering the benediction and prayers were Fr. Robert Barcelos of St. Therese Catholic Church in Alhambra.

Beyond "40 Days" - Baby Steps towards a Pro-Life California

Pasadena, CA - November 21st, 2010 - We at Pro-Life California were awed and humbled by what we saw during the recent "40 Days for Life" campaign in Los Angeles.  We know of at least five mothers and their babies who were spared abortion.  We saw numerous others turned away at the doors of the abortion center, referred to Los Angeles Pregnancy Services for counseling, pregancy tests and medical referrals.  And very encouragingly, we were able to train up an impressive cadre of new pro-life leaders, at least two of whom were themselves able to lead expectant mothers to choose life!  In the weeks since "40 Days for Life" Los Angeles, we have been able to coordinate an ongoing pro-life presence at three abortion centers in L.A. and are in the process of expanding activities in Downey, Fullerton, Pasadena and the Inland Empire.  Our mission remains the same - to cover abortion centers with a loving, prayerful Christian presence and to train up local pro-life leaders who themselves learn to multiply their influence through discipleship.

If you would like to be part of this powerful outreach please contact Pro-Life California at (626) 804-3233 or email us at prolifecalifornia@yahoo.com.  Please consider joining our meetup site where you can find out about ongoing daily activities all around California at www.meetup.com/Pro-Life-California/.

As part of our ongoing ministry growth, we are looking for talented individuals with expertise in the area of web-design and graphics and public and/or media relations.  We are also on the look out for bilingual individuals, especially in Spanish, Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese.  If you are excited about working with youth and young-adults, we are currently developing a ministry called "Born-Unborn Alliance" or "BUA" which will work to form pro-life missions teams within high schools, universities and local churches.  Of course, if you do not possess any of these "unique" attributes but you still want to help, do not hesitate.  Our requirements are only that you possess a solid Christian faith, demonstrable courage, and the ability to work and play well with others!  We hope to hear from you!

40 Days for Life - L.A. Week Five - The Battle Rages!

Los Angeles - October 25th, 2010 - Each week during "40 Days for Life", Los Angeles we have been thrilled to announce babies saved, decisions for life, victory seemingly upon victory.  It seemed that God was blessing us and this effort in powerful, tangible ways.  This week was different. This week was all about dealing with the alternating heat and cold, hunger, thirst,  and most of all disappointment and sadness as we met with seemingly defeat after defeat.  There was "A" who told us, "Yes, I know it's killing.  Yes, I know it's wrong. Yes, I am a Christian" who then went into the abortion center to have her "procedure."  There was the constant stream of people who entered the abortion center even after we suprised them with the news that the center was indeed an abortion center.  "Oh my gosh, I didn't know!"  Of course, the shock that their personal physician was also an abortionist did not sway anyone (that we know of) from giving their money, or our tax dollars, to an abortion center for some other non-abortion procedure.  Ultimately, what I came away with, after days of prayer and disappointment is that God was still with us. In the words of Mother Teresa, "God does not call us to be successful but to be faithful."  So, yes, it was a great week!  We prayed.  We fasted.  We reached out to lonely, frightened mothers in crisis and showed them love in the midst of their darkness.  We might not have been successful, but we were faithful.  Praise God!

Please join us for the last week of "40 Days for Life" Los Angeles as we pray and offer loving alternatives every day from 8am to 5pm at Her "Medical" Center at 2502 S. Figueroa, Los Angeles.  We will also have a final "Candlelight Prayer Vigil," Saturday, October 30th from 6pm to 8pm at the same location.  If you have not been involved to this point, it is not too late!  You can still save lives and transform your own!  For more information email us at prolifecalifornia@yahoo.com or call us at (626) 804-3233.

40 Days for Life -  L.A. Week Four - TWO BABIES SAVED!

Los Angeles - October 17, 2010 -  When "K" exited the abortion center about 11am on Saturday, sidewalk counselors and prayer warriors did not know what to think.   She was talking on the phone, but gradually made her way to the sidewalk.  "I couldn't do it," she said.  I asked her if I could give her a hug.  She agreed and thanked us for the help we offered. Everyone praised God!  By noon, all of the prayer warriors and sidewalk counselors had left the abortion center.  All except one.  A car pulled into the driveway and the sidewalk counselor motioned for the passenger to roll down her window.  "Do you know that that is an abortion center?," he asked.  "D" replied simply, "Yes."  "Are you considering an abortion?"  Once again, her reply was simple and direct, "Yes."  The sidewalk counselor continued, "Sweetheart, we're here for you.  Babies are a blessing.  We know that you're in a tough spot, but we really can help."  He offered her the Pro-Life California blue pamphlet, and a tract with pictures of unborn babies.  He could see her heart begin to melt.  "Sweetheart, why don't you park and come over and talk to me?"  Indeed the driver pulled into the parking lot, but instead of coming over to talk, the new mother and her friend talked and looked over the pro-life material they were given. The lone counselor prayed.  Five minutes later, "D" and her friend pulled out from the parking space on their way to exiting the abortion center.  "I'm going to have the baby," "D" said.  "Oh, praise God."  The sidewalk counselor offered to take her to L.A.P.S.  and gave her his business card.  That's okay, she replied, "I will definitely call them later."  The couple left and the sidewalk counselor praised God for a second life saved (that we know of!) in a single day of prayerful action!

"40 Days for Life" - L.A. Week Three -  A Call to Life-Saving Action

Los Angeles - October 10, 2010 -  Pro-Life prayer warriors and sidewalk counselors were once again on-site at Planned Parenthood throughout Week Three of our local prayer campaign. Because Christians were present, we know of at least once young couple who tearfully chose life!  First, I thank God for all the faithful sidewalk counselors and prayer warriors who have made this campaign the centerpiece of their own 40 Days of prayer, fasting and service.  I am thinking of Graciela and Miriam, Karla and John, Javier and Martha, Jesus, Nadia, Maria-Elena, Gregoria, Milagros and so many others, without whom lives would have definitely been lost. Unfortunately, the efforts of this faithful few are only a foretaste of what must be done if we are to defeat abortion in our state and our nation.  I am calling on all Christians - those who unashamedly call themselves "pro-life"-  to commit to spending a minimum of two hours per week in front of an abortion center or volunteering for a crisis pregnancy center, post-abortion care ministry or pro-life political candidate.  I am calling on all pastors and priests to begin teaching their flocks that abortion is not merely something to avoid - it is an evil that each of us is called to fight.  I am calling on these pastors and priests to JOIN their parishioners in front of their local abortuary and repent of their apathy and inaction.  And finally, I am calling on my dedicated pro-life soldier-brethren to redouble their efforts - to multiply their effectiveness through a conscious, dedicated program of friendship discipleship - and to recommit themselves to ending abortion or fighting it until their dying breath.  If we can win in California, we can win everywhere!  "40 Days for Life" is not the end of that effort, it is only and merely a beginning.  Let us know if you need help.  Pro-Life California is here for you!  Contact Dr. Michael Ross directly at (972) 837-8852 or join our "meetup" site at http://www.meetup.com/Pro-Life-California/.   We particularly have a need for sidewalk counselors and prayer warriors who can help us at abortion centers in Los Angeles, before and and after this 40 Days campaign.

"40 Days for Life" - L.A. Week TWO - Three Decisions for Life!

Los Angeles, October 3rd 2010 -  From Dr. Michael Ross, Director, Pro-Life California:   In my almost twenty years of pro-life experience, I cannot recall a day quite like Saturday in front of an abortion center in Los Angeles.  From the beginning of the day - even before the abortion center had opened -  sidewalk counselors had already convinced one young patron to stop doing business with the abortion center, which she had previously viewed as a "medical" facility.  Seeing the photos of unborn children at the same age as those killed in the abortion center, Rochelle exclaimed, "I never knew!'  She got in her car and drove away.  Later in the day, I watched as another young lady was approached by Maria-Elena, a FIRST-TIME sidewalk counselor who was present at an abortion center for only the third time in her life.  I marvelled as the countenance of this young lady changed from one of mocking to one of seriousness and sensitivity. She very nearly walked away from Maria-Elena, but the persistence of this loving Christian seemed to engage and attract her.  After a few minutes she did enter the abortion center, but returned, once again to continue the conversation with Maria-Elena who was joined by veteran sidewalk counselor Lianna. I watched in awe and thankfulness as Maria-Elena got into the car with her new friend and left the abortion center for Los Angeles Pregnancy Services (L.A.P.S.)  A few minutes later, a pregnancy test confirmed that the young lady was indeed pregnant, and through tears, she made a decision for life!   Of course, the day was not over!  Within the hour yet another young lady, was befriended and empowered  by sidewalk counselors who helped her make her way to L.A.P.S!

"40 Days for Life" - L.A. Week ONE - Two Decisions for Life!

Los Angeles, September  2010:  "40 Days for Life, Los Angeles" got off to an exciting and miraculous start on Wednesday, September 22nd, when on DAY ONE of the event, sidewalk counselors at an abortion center in L.A. were able to reach out to an abortion-bound couple who ending up choosing life!  Only three days later, another young woman, who was being counseled to abort by her mother and boyfriend, met sidewalk-counselors Nadia and Karla.  They escorted her to an L.A. crisis pregnancy center (L.A.P.S.) where after counseling and Christian love, she made a firm decision for life.  "You can be sure that in every case where a mother decides for life, we will be there for her," said Pro-Life California Director, Dr. Michael Ross. "It's not enough that a baby is saved.  We need to show Christian caring and compassion throughout the pregnancy and after the child is born - for as long as the mother desires it."  Ross went on to explain that it was the Christian presence at the abortion centers that made the decisive difference.  "It's not enough to be pro-life.  You have to act pro-life. We do not think it strange to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to visit the prisoners and the lonely, but when it comes to abortion, we are often told to 'just pray.'  Well, we are praying, but we are also acting sacrificially to save the unborn by ministering in practical ways to their mothers in crisis."  If you would like to participate in "40 Days for Life" Los Angeles, please register with us at www.meetup.com/Pro-Life-California/  or send Pro-Life California an email:  prolifecalifornia@yahoo.com .

"24 Hours for Life" in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, August 28th, 2010 -  Pro-Life soldiers descended upon a late-term abortion center in Los Angeles on Saturday and Sunday in what Pro-Life California leaders were calling "24 Hours for Life" - an event meant to be "spiritual preparation" for the much longer "40 Days for Life" to be held starting September 22nd and running through October 31st. "  Pro-Life California Southern California Director Karla Rios was one of those who spent the entire 24 hours at the abortion center:  "I will never forget this day.  It was not about looking pretty, socializing, making friends, or standing up for a politically-correct cause.  It was about physical sacrifice, sweating, having bad breath, feeling the cold air, not being able to sleep and standing for a cause that is intensely controversial.  But then again, this is how love manifests itself. . . Where protecting or standing up for someone or something becomes painful.  What a paradox.  What brings us joy will also cause us pain and humbles us."  If you missed this event, "40 Days for Life" in September will offer ample opportunity to join in the fight against child-killing.  Check out www.40daysforlife.com/la or register at Pro-Life California's meetup site to be kept informed of events: www.meetup.com/Pro-Life-California/.  Don't forget to register your membership today!  We will be asking individual churches to commit to praying for four days of the forty outside of "Family Planning Associates" abortion  center at 601 S. Westmoreland in Los Angeles.  Please do register your interest as soon as possible so that we can schedule a consistent Christian presence across all 40 Days.

Pro-Life California to  be in Modesto!

Los Angeles, August 15, 2010 - On Monday, Pro-Life California will be offering its first-ever On-site Sidewalk Counseling Training in Northern California.  The event will begin at 10am at the Choice Medical Group in Modesto, CA.   Please check out our meet-up site at www.meetup.com/Pro-Life-California/  if you are interested in this or any other event.  Remember, when Christians are present at abortion centers, babies are saved, lives are transformed and God is honored.

"40 Days for Life" Returns to Los Angeles

Los Angeles, July 20, 2010 -  On Tuesday, Pro-Life California announced its intention of coordinating the upcoming "40 Days for Life" Prayer Campaign in Los Angeles being held September 22 through October 31st of this year.  "40 Days" is traditionally held twice per year - once during the season of Lent and once during the fall.  This fall's campaign will end on the Sunday just prior to the 2010 elections.  "The last time '40 Days' was held, Los Angeles was not represented," said Dr. Michael Ross, Director of Pro-Life California. "We ignore Los Angeles at our peril," Ross continued.  "As ground-zero for abortion in the state of California, Los Angeles must be the center of our activity, not peripheral to it."  Pro-Life California is asking for help from churches and individuals in the Los Angeles region as the task is daunting. What is needed?  "First, we ask that churches and individuals seriously pray to discern their level and type of involvement.  Second, we need Christians to be pro-active in contacting us to help - whether that be to volunteer to coordinate their church or parish, be on-site at the abortion center to assist those who come to pray, or to help in the organizational effort.  We know that when Christians are present at the abortion centers, lives will be saved, abortion centers will be closed and lives will be transformed."  If you can help, use the "Contact Us" button above.  We also strongly encourage you to register your membership at our companion site at meetup.com for the most up-to-date events and information. Pro-Vida California at "Unidos por la Vida"

Los Angeles, CA - May 2010 - Pro-Life California kicked off a major effort into the community of Los Angeles with an appearance at "Unidos por la Vida" on Sunday, May 23rd.  The event was sponsored by Eduardo Verastegui's organization, "Manto de Guadalupe" which aims to build a medical clinic in one of the most economically depressed areas of Los Angeles.  Pro-Life California was literally offered a place at the table during the event through the generosity of Astrid Bennett and the Los Angeles Pregnancy Services.  "Partnering with Los Angeles Pregnancy Services has been such a blessing to us," said Dr. Michael Ross, Director of Pro-Life California.  "What we bring to L.A.P.S. is an extensive fund-raising network which will facilitate the life center's move towards full-medical capability.  At the same time, L.A.P.S. gives us an entry point to speak to the Latino community of Los Angeles." Dr. Ross went on to explain that efforts are beginning now to form pro-life teams throughout the Southern California region.  These teams will soon be mobilizing in front of abortion centers all over California.  "We will be boldly saving lives - mother and child," said Ross, "but we will also be laying the groundwork for an actual end to child-killing in the state.  This is not about half-measures any more.  We can defeat abortion in the same way that Christians defeated slavery!"  For more information, please join this website and/or send an email to Pro-Life California through the "Contact Us" button above.

State-wide Prayer Campaign to begin in Los Angeles

Azusa, CA, May 2010 -  Dr. Michael Ross, Director Pro-Life California, announced on Sunday the organization's plan to  help form pro-life activist groups across the state, beginning with Southern California, with special emphasis upon the Los Angeles area.  Los Angeles was chosen as ground-zero for this campaign because the metropolis is home to the highest concentration of abortion centers in the state and because past pro-life efforts have been hindered by vocal and sometimes violent pro-abortion opposition.   "We know that pro-abortion forces in L.A. will not be happy about our new effort, " Ross said.  "But we also know that Christians in Southern California need our help, and we will not be intimidated."

Ross indicated that Pro-Life California is offering to help dedicated, sincere Christians, anywhere in the state, to form Pro-Life California ministry teams wherever abortion centers are located. These teams will commit themselves to working towards covering local abortion centers with a CONSTANT (prayerful, peaceful & compassionate) PRESENCE, during every hour they are open.

For more information on how you can help this effort, use the "Contact Us" page on this website, contact us on our "Meetup" site at: http://www.meetup.com/Pro-Life-California/ or email Dr. Ross directly at drmichaelross1@netzero.com.

Our Missions Field - the Local Abortion Center

For Pro-Life California, our missions field is the local abortion center.  It is here that we are called to minister to unborn children and their mothers and fathers facing unexpected pregnancies.  It is here that we pray, intercede, protest and call to repentance, forgiveness and healing even those who work in the abortion industry.

The fact remains - every time a Christian dedicates himself to peaceful, prayerful action at the steps of an abortion center, God is glorified.  Therefore, we at Pro-Life California are calling on Christians to be more than merely event-centric.  We must dedicate ourselves first to carrying our daily cross - that very symbol of our death which leads to true life in Christ.  We must be immersed in prayer - to live as St. Paul who taught us to "pray without ceasing."  And we must remember that abortion is the greatest scourge upon our nation and our world.   What does this mean specifically for us as a pro-life ministry?

1. First, always, is to dedicate ourselves to an ever-growing, ever-deeper relationship with the Author of Life, through prayer, the reading of sacred scripture and worship.

2.  Second, we must keep ourselves in relationship and submission to our local church or parish.

3.  Third, we must resolve to be steadfast in actions which courageously proclaim a Culture of Life against the backdrop of a majority culture which while calling itself Christian is in many ways pagan.  These steadfast actions may fall into one or more of the following categories:

     a) Prayer and Sidewalk Counseling at the killing centers themselves

     b) Volunteering at a local Crisis Pregnancy Center

     c)  Outreach to schools and colleges

     d)  Political activism

     e)  Outreach to churches and other para-church ministries.

Whichever you feel your focus should be, I hope you will let Pro-Life California be part of your team and support network.

As director of Pro-Life California, I am convinced that when Christians begin to take their relationship with Christ seriously, they will also, if ever so slowly, see the horror of abortion.  Less "natural" is an American Christian's impulse to do anything about abortion.  We are acculturated to be individually responsible and to be optimistic.  So, when we look upon abortion we almost inevitably see it as the concern of someone else - perhaps the mothers-in-crisis or the supposedly irresponsible fathers.   And, as Americans, abortion just seems so depressing.  Wouldn't most of us much rather minister to the homeless, help out with the youth group, or better yet, go shopping or golfing?  Of course, each of these activities is great in the proper context.  Still, if we do not understand the urgency of abortion - the dreadfulness and horror of it that demands our special attention - then, I ask, can we be sure that we really know the heart of God?

Join us as we do our best to "minister to the least of these" - Christ's brethren.

Scripture is the Key:

Matt 25:40  - The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Proverbs 24:11  - Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

James 1:27  - Pure and undefiled religion. . . is to visit orphans and widows in their distress. . .

Isaiah 1:15-16   - When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood; wash and make yourselves clean.  Take your evil deeds out of my sight. Stop doing wrong.

Matt 18:10  -  "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

Pro-Life California debuts at Tea Party in Yorba Linda

Yorba Linda, CA - April 2010 - On Thursday, April 15th in Yorba Linda in North Orange County, Pro-Life California was pleased to make its first-ever official public appearance at a Tax Day Tea Party hosted by the Conservative Tea Party of North Orange County.  Not only was this public event important for its being our first, but also because it allowed the opportunity for many like-minded people to be confronted with an issue that is too often side-stepped and avoided for fear of giving offense.  It also afforded us the opportunity to ask people to "join us at the killing centers."  I'm convinced that every time we call a few to this important ministry, God opens a door for repentance and change for our entire nation.  Ask yourself, if we can turn our state into a "Pro-Life California" is it not merely a matter of time before America and then the world acknowledge the evil of abortion?

                                       What is Pure Religion?

 Pure Religion: James 1:27

James 1:27 tells us that " Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, to keep oneself unspotted from the world."  This is why we must stand for life at America's killing centers.  When we intercede  for the babies about to be killed, we are visiting orphans in their greatest moment of need - a moment in which they are orphans in the truest sense.  And we must not forget their mothers - so often they feel alone and abandoned, without options - in this same moment, they are as widows.  Won't you stand with us?
