bob, oh bob, how can I express my feelings? what can I say? thanks for embarrassing me in your class that one day..suddenly out of the blue as I was minding my own business, I hear "Sorry Phil"? Sorry? why's he looking at me. I didn't even hear what he had just said. why's he picking on me, I wondered....sttill wonder,..I had been quiet, respectful, obedient,,,and suddenly bob's picking a fight for no reason, ..unbelievable, it hurt . I had legacy at calvin college & seminary ....incl Rev Gareth Kok (grandpa), & Rev Jim Kok (dad), & all my uncles, aunts, siblings who attended the college "down the hill" (calvin). And I was still licking my wounds from my two year teaching experience in Coachella. I just wanted to quietly "do seminary" for a while...greek & hebrew were enough of a challenge, & heresl bob devries picking on me in the classroom where students are basically defenseless, at the mercy of the professor's professionalism (or lack of) & good will .., why me? what did I do ?
