ATTORNEY (WINTHROP) SPEAKS TO JUDGE KWAN re choosing "option A"...(ie ministry chooses the buyer if both deemed feasible) ..Winthrop spent the most time in front of the judge with a lot of give-&-take between them..at one point the judge said "Mr. Winthrop, why don't you just go with the flow?" & at another pointthe Judge literally barked at Winthrop to "sit down!" adding "please" as an afterthought. You see, I got the feeling that Winthrop was not expecting Judge Kwan to ask him to "prove up" the CC board's choice of the Catholic diocese. I also sensed Winthrop getting a little tense about it, but realized that Judge Kwan wanted to go thru the motions of a prove-up as a courtesy to Chapman whom he felt got treated a little poorly by the CC at the last minute, not being notified by the CC of their last-minute change of heart to choosing the catholic diocese. I think Judge Kwan knew all along he would go with the CC choice but still wanted a legitimate prove-up, & also set the groundwork necessary for an appeal if Chapman chose to do so, which I don't anticipate they will (but u never know).
