11/7/11 cblog IMPORTANCE of STANDING UP for JUSTICE; St. Raymond "Not long ago I got a big lect re social justice, what he meant v cath church meant 2 diff things..he wanted a new elect car for everybody, social justice is true concern for all people..some who need a meal..not a car, plant food, incls everybody, not just those similar to us, jesus speaks justice for poor, not gov program, loving neighbor..people close & far,10,000 miles away, possible ..we r called to social justice for all people, helping those less fort, not just those who need meal..., ..opp of soc jst . Those who scream, as a kid growing up in lynwood at a public school I sat next to jew boy..I was protestant .. 8th grade, sb scratched "dirty jew" on his desk, he was upset, afraid and sad, I told the teacher, ..she called janitor ..new desk, ..she said it wouldn't happen again. But I've heard it, ..also anti-catholicism, we can judge actions,we catholics keep quiet but when pushed we stand up for justice, ..we have long tradition of respecting..great comm..love them best by telling them what they're doing wrong..."
Wisdom 1: 1 - 7
