(May 26, 2010) DOES FULLER's RICH MOUW WATCH TOO MUCH TV?

DOES FULLER's RICH MOUW WATCH TOO MUCH TV? [My comment: does Mouw watch too much tv ? This is a seminary president talking about "faithfully viewing" some tv drama, as if there's nothing better to do...I myself don't watch tv at all anymore & encourage people to do the same. In fact, in mouw style, talking about watching tv as a seminary president is kind of an in-your-face-I-don't-care-what-u-think gesture...like talking about eating a big tub of buttered popcorn at the movies, while also being a 6-figure seminary president...& he can do it b/c he's got tenure & basically unaccountable...& for that matter, a seminary is like a public school, virtually guaranteed a regular turnover of students..its not like being a pastor of a church who has to constantly appeal to his parishioners for their support & attendance...mouw has the luxury of making 6 figures without being held accountable, as evidenced by the fact that he talks so openly about spending valuable time simply watching a tv drama on a religious basis . Most CEO's would be embarrassed talking about their "favorite tv show" but Mouw does it intentionally to basically say "F--k you"]
(May 26, 2010) MOUW SAYS: "....But right now I’m more caught up in thinking about the series finale I did watch after faithfully viewing every episode for eight seasons: “24.”The Jack Bauer saga was a great run. And there were at least some hints at theological themes at the end. The really evil guy, former president Logan, was trying to convince President Taylor, herself involved in a terrible cover-up, that the only hope the two had of not having their evil deeds exposed was to do away with Jack Bauer. Hearing this speech, I pushed the pause button on the recording and got off my exercise bike to write down the relevant phrases...."
