10/17/10 WE SHARE IN THE RESSURRECTION POWER OF CHRIST, BISHOP KENNETH ULMER GIVES SUNDAY MESSAGE @ CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL "...there is adjacent to the coliseum in rome..a little church..famours for former residents..built over jail cell..tradition has it paul & peter were prisoners there..intrsting both men wrote letters to encourage the saints..they both write to men & women of god who were experiencing prsecution..pressure..both wrote letters from rome..from this jail cell..tells us god has given us everything we need...god gives us what we need in order to succeed...peter says we have divine power..divine promises..that we are in a divine partnership...face ppersecution pressures problems..we are provided for..god's provisions are divine power..time when nero was persecuting church..in midst..god has given us divine power..produces character..must add to our faith..exercise..same power that raised Christ from the dead..the ressurection power...if your problem...your pressure ...if your problem is not worse than a dead jesus..God has proven he can handle it..peter says build upon your faith..easy to talk talk, but harder to walk walk..hold onn to your faith..recognize that god has give u divine power...sometimes it comes down to hanging on to god's promises..he says "I will never leave u nor forsake u.." promise of God..matters not pressure..will never leave u..never abandon..will never forsake..he is with you where u are..if god be for us who can be against us..who would have the nerve to be against us.."for us" meaning "above, over"...."against"..."downward motion.."..god covering us..if he's above who can keep us down...like rubber..harder push us down..harder we bounce back up...we are also anointed w/ god..mystical way we are with god....like anointing oil that flows over head of aaron...over the garment..Flows down...to the hem..lowest point on the garment....something about the power of god that activates at the lowest point in our lives..like the dew on mt hermon..that flows down..mt hermon 40 miles north of sea of gallilee..flows down 40 miles..pours into sea of gal..then 127 miles down to jordan river..to dead sea...lowest pt on earth..something abt the dead sea...cannot drown....when at lowest point..you shall rise again..come out again..come out w/ hands in air.
