BRENDAN 8a"Just a suggestion...no 2nd tunic..talking abt freedom from dependence upon self (self-dependence)...wall street journal ..story re person who..robbed bank..then went to pick up kids @ school...strange incongruence .. provide with food I need..who is lord being in want ..yet profane the name of the lord..sometimes in need,,,desperate attempts to help children..there are limits..yet being full but profane God's name..today a feast..new fundamental direction for the 12..isn't thee a limit? Accepting poverty..serious factor..refusing one's impovershd state..if we are so autonomous..nothing need worry about at ll, that's not Christian...sometimes there must be a sense of dependence ..not absolute self-dependence..some in desert refuse to rely on God..do we accept state of dependence..recognize true source of joy peace love..if we don't believe God gave gone too far in the wrong direction..even when things going well..or esp when things going well..need to remember reliance on God..its an opportunity to depend on sb else..one meaning of verb "to believe"...to let one self rely upon another..Lord wants us to have faith...in providence..
