11/17/11 LISTEN to CAROL SCHULLER-MILNER At CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL BANKRUPTCY HEARING .....its the first time I've ever seen carol in person. I've seen pics of her but I wouldn't have known it was her if somebody hadn't pointed her out earlier, & then she got up to talk during the comment time & introduced herself. Carol is the daughter who lost her leg in a motorcycle accident in Iowa (apparently she was on the back of a motorcycle driven by her cousin when it crashed). Carol spoke tearfully at first, mentioning her mother being sick at home crying, & went on from there to say..her parents "gave their lives" for the ministry & she added "it's NOT all about the money..."(it should be mentioned that on Monday just as the proceedings were beginning one of the attorneys (& I can't recall for whom)  said something (maybe cynically) about it being "all about the money" )... anyways carol also said the CC has always been about "dreamers & doers" ...I found there to quite a tension with rob ekno essentially accusing the schuller family of making a profit off of all this while everybody else loses..& It was difficult because some of the naysayers such as ekno & canfield are fairly new at the CC ...& yet here they are suggesting they lost so much money (have they actually contributed anything ? Ekno is an employee ...serving the homeless ministries. I'm not sure about Canfield). I felt bad for Carol & thought Ekno & Canfield were out-of-line (on Monday I also  heard Canfield talking about going to the district attorney).
