SURPRISING, RICH MOUW takes a STAND AGAINST SAME-SEX MARRIAGE (mar 10,2010)...[my comment: I didn't think Mouw had the backbone to do so. He's speaking here indirectly of same-sex stuff ...morespecifically he's speaking of potential ramifications of the "Belhar Confession" . For some reason I never thought Mouw had the integrity to oppose same-sex stuff. He always seemed like the type who would try to weasel out of a stance on it. But then, he just slyly inserts comments here & there..in fact this is the first comment I've seen about homosexuality by Mouw. Does he ever take a STRONG & BOLD stance about it ? ] Mouw says: "My concerned friends in both the Reformed and Christian Reformed denominations have set my mind at ease on the first point—they insist that passing Belhar will be done with the explicit acknowledgement that it will not provide a basis for changing their denominations’ present standards regarding same-sex questions. It would be nice to get that same reassurance from the mainline Presbyterian body in which I am now a member..."
